Headsweats Continues Sponsorship of VERSUS Ask Bobke Segments and Official Tour de France Products

Headsweats announces their exclusive agreement to sponsor Bob Roll’s Ask Bobke segments featured on VERSUS during the network’s coverage of the 2011 Tour de France. VERSUS is the exclusive television home of the Tour de France in the U.S. This is Headsweats’ second year as the Ask Bobke sponsor and third year as the official headwear for the legendary international cycling race that runs for three weeks every July and spans a total distance of over 2,200 miles.

Bob Roll, the well-known former professional American cyclist, is part of VERSUS’ Tour de France on-air announce team and the Ask Bobke segment has been a part of the network’s coverage since 2004.

“We are very excited to be sponsoring Ask Bobke again this year,” says Alan Romick, Headsweats founder and avid cyclist. “We fully support the Tour and recognize it as a solid way to enhance Headsweats’ brand recognition within the cycling market. Roll is legendary to the sport and provides Tour followers with a colorful, yet honest and direct assessment of the race.”

Ask Bobke will air during the network’s primetime show which airs from 8-11 p.m. ET each night throughout the Tour.  Online coverage will include an Ask Bobke page on the VERSUS Cycling Facebook page with information and details about winning a Bob Roll inspired, limited edition Headsweats TDF collection hat. The hats will also be available for sale online through the Headsweats website.

Continuing as an Official Tour de France Product supplier, Headsweats offers a large selection of styles within their TDF custom collection, including the collection’s top seller, the SpinCycle.  The SpinCycle looks as good on its own as it does performing under the helmet. Headsweats’ spin on the traditional cycling cap features slick graphics and technical fabrication. A COOLMAX® outer shell provides maximum moisture management, and an elasticized back and soft bill offer enhanced comfort and fit. 1. Hi Bobke: We were wondering how much liquid a rider in a grand tour like the Tour de France consumes on a daily basis and we were wondering if all of those water bottles provided to the riders were furnished free of charge by the sponsors?

  2. Hey Bobke: We were wondering what the average total cost was to sponsor a cycling team. Thanks,

  3. Bob,
    Great commercial!
Not a question, but an invite. “I’ll go for a ride with you”! If you ever visit Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon and/or Mt Charleston are great rides!
