Headsweats and TriSports.com Announce Tour de France Contest

Headsweats, the world leader in triathlon and endurance technical headwear, and TriSports, the internet’s foremost online multisport retailer, have announced a joint contest with Chalet le 4 to provide a full getaway package and accommodations for one lucky winner and a companion to this year’s historic 100th Tour de France.

The contest is open to all legal US residents (no purchase necessary) and will include 6-night/7-day accommodations in Le Grand Bornand, finish town of stage 19 of the 2013 Tour de France, along with the chance for participants to ride and view three of this year’s Tour de France stages. The value of the total package for the lucky winner is $4,798 for two slots for 7 days of cycling adventure in the French Alps.

“This trip is an absolutely unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” said Nathan Hall, TriSports.com Director of Marketing. “We have already seen a fair amount of interest from our customers in purchasing this exclusive travel package to the Tour, so I’m certain the contest for two free slots will generate quite a bit of excitement once it lands on our Facebook page and Twitter feed.”

A premier destination resort for endurance athletes, Chalet le 4 – host to The TriSports 100th Tour de France Camp – is located in the French Alps, one hour outside of Geneva and directly amidst three of the Tour’s penultimate stages this year. Participants in the Trisports.com/Headsweats Tour de France Camp will have the opportunity to ride two of the three aforementioned stages, have full access to on-site chalet facilities including pool and sauna, and be treated to a full week of gourmet, home-cooked meals. Air fare is not included in the contest package.

“Having produced the official line of Tour de France headwear for the past several years, we know the importance of this race and these particular stages to avid cyclists. Headsweats is thrilled to be involved with this giveaway and partnership with our friends at TriSports.com,” said Mike McQueeney, President of Headsweats. “In addition, Chalet le 4’s location and reputation for providing a world-class experience for endurance athletes is sure to make this trip beyond memorable for all the participants.”

Contest registration opens on Monday, March 4 at 12:00 PM EST and runs for 7 days. Registrations will be accepted online at www.headsweats.com/pages/sign-up-to-win/ or by writing to:
