Congrats to Katerina Nash of Team Luna Pro

Headsweats is a proud supporter of Team Luna Pro and they would like to extend a big congratulations to Katerina Nash of the team for winning the bronze at the Cyclocross World Championships in Germany! Below is the race report from the Luna Pro site:

Katerina finally got her hands on the bronze medal at the Cyclocross World Championships in St-Wendel, Germany. She finished just 20 seconds behind Marianne Vos and 3 seconds behind Katie Compton.

On a course about speed and power, Katerina took advantage of Katie Compton’s lead-outs, but eventually got dropped on one of the last climbs by the 23 year old Vos.

According to Nash, “It’s my first ever medal at worlds so this is quite good for me. It was a very fast race and I was in good company. I’m all excited.”

She goes on to say, “I want to say thank you (team) for your support over the years. I was more than excited when I got my first medal at world championship. Well, lets say that first big medal at 33 feels great and I know that all of you played a big role helping me to get there.”

The LUNA legend is looking forward to a short break up in the mountains before the MTB season starts in March. Look for her near her hometown of Truckee, CA rocking the cross country skis, or even dirt bike riding with hubby and airplane pilot, Marcus.
